The State Order and Good Governance Committee under the House of Representatives has instructed the government to carry out necessary investigations and legal action against those who were indirectly involved in the Chaita 15 demonstration of Rajawadi.
The meeting of the committee on Friday instructed to take action on those directly and indirectly involved in the incident. "Instructs the Government of Nepal, the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Home Affairs to investigate the facts of the events of Chait 15 and take necessary investigation and legal action against the persons directly and indirectly involved in it," the committee's instructions said.
The movement was raised in the Parliamentary Committee at the instigation of Purvaraja Gyanendra Shah. Likewise, the parliamentary committee has instructed the government to proceed seriously to prevent the recurrence of such violent incidents in the future and to protect the constitution, laws and the federal democratic republican state system. According to the instructions of the
committee, 'This meeting of the Public Order and Good Governance Committee condemns the violent incident in the name of protest by royalists on Friday 15th of Chaitra in Tinkune of Kathmandu. This meeting instructs the Government of Nepal, the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Home Affairs to carry out necessary investigations on the culprits of the incident.
The committee has also instructed the government not to allow any kind of meetings, protests, sit-ins, etc. in the future in Tinkunne and surrounding areas. Also, the committee has also instructed the government to manage the budget necessary to equip the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force with resources.
