RSVP Chairman Ravi Lamichhane has claimed that he is going to arrest the police. The Butwal Bench of the High Court Tulsipur had ordered Lamichhane to be remanded in custody for co-operative fraud and organized crime.
To arrest Lamichhane, the police have reached his house from the Kathmandu police complex. After the police came to his house, Lamichhane wrote on Facebook that he was going to be arrested.
'In compliance with the order of the Honorable Court, I myself am arresting you today, right now . Also, other doors of the court will be open for me. I will knock on all the doors of the world for justice,' wrote Lamichhane.
Lamichhane has also written that he has been wronged. "There has been a great injustice done to me," said Lamichhane. He has also requested not to stop the Chitwan program of the party to be organized on Saturday.
The police arrived at the house on Friday evening to arrest Lamichhane. After the Butwal Bench of Tulsipur High Court issued an order to send Lamichhane to prison for pre-trial detention, the police arrived to arrest Lamichhane. According to Appel Bohora, the spokesperson of Kathmandu Police Complex, the police went to his house to arrest Lamichhane. With the order of the High Court, Lamichhane is about to be arrested.
With the order of the High Court, the Kathmandu Police has prepared to arrest Lamichhane and send him to Rupandehi.
High Court Tulsipur's Butwal bench had ordered Lamichhane to be sent to jail pending trial in Butwal Supreme Cooperative Fraud and Organized Crime. High Court Tulsipur, Butwal Bench's Judge Ramesh Dhakal and Sankak Parajuli's bench had overturned the order of District Court Rupandehi to release Lamichhane on bail. Along with this, Deputy Registrar of High Court Tulsipur, Butwal Bench, Harigopal Gyawali informed that the District Court's order to send the then owner of Gorkha Media Network to jail, Chabilal Joshi, has also been approved by the High Court.
