The Employees' Provident Fund has distributed around five billion 34 million rupees to savers and contributors from the total profit earned in the last financial year. According to the fund, about Rs.5 billion 27 crores have been deposited in the account of the savers and about Rs.6 crores 43 lakhs in the accounts of the contributors of the contribution-based pension fund.
The meeting of the Board of Directors of the fund on the 17th of Chait approved the financial statement of the year 2080/81 and decided to distribute the amount as profit at the rate of 1.10 percent on the initial balance amount in the personal accounts of the savers and contributors. 92 percent of the total profit earned by the
fund in each financial year is distributed to the savers for profit and welfare purposes. The remaining amount has been kept in various reserve funds.
fund is providing interest to savers and contributors at the rate of 5.50 percent on the accumulated amount in the current financial year, while the savers and contributors are getting a special allowance of up to 90 percent of the accumulated amount at 6.60 percent interest from the fund.
fund has been providing special, house, educational, house repair, simple and land purchase loans since the past with the purpose of fulfilling the service period needs of savers and contributors.
The fund has been providing health treatment facilities to the saver couple from their own resources so that the saver does not have to make a separate contribution. Similarly, Kazkiria has been providing social benefits such as subsidy, maternity and infant care facilities, accident compensation subsidy. Under this, in the last year, maternity and infant care facilities were Rs. 146.5 million, Kazkiria subsidy was Rs. 282 million, accident compensation was Rs. 2. According to the fund, Rs. 1.4 crores, Rs. 34 crores 65 lakhs for health treatment and Rs. 70 lakhs have been provided to 47 private savers for special financial facilities.
Currently there are 575,000 savers in the fund and 80,400 pension fund contributors.
