The Supreme Court did not issue an interim order on the writ against the decision of the Council of Ministers to remove the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising. On Thursday, the Supreme Court said that there will be no interim order on the writ filed by Ghising.
The bench of Supreme Court Justices Kumar Chudal and Nityanand Pandey stated that the interim order will not be issued as per Ghising's demand. The Supreme Court has mentioned that the said writ will have priority.
With Ghising not getting an interim order, Hitendradev Shakya will continue as the executive director of the authority. The cabinet meeting held on Chait 11 removed Ghising as the executive director and appointed Hitendradev Shakya . Then Ghising reached the Supreme Court with a writ on Chait 14.
