The Prime Minister of Thailand, Pai Thong Than Shinawatra, has said that investment and participation from his country will increase in the field of aviation and tourism in Nepal.

During the official first visit to Thailand with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, in the joint press conference held today after the bilateral meeting, she said that Thailand is positive for increasing the number of flights of Thai Airlines in Kathmandu and direct air flights to Lumbini.

She expressed her belief that Thailand's investment and business in the tourism sector such as energy, hotel, and aviation in Nepal will be given priority in the future.

Prime Minister Shinawatra mentioned that the first visit by the Prime Minister of Nepal after 65 years of the expansion of diplomatic relations was historic and informed that they also discussed the issue of increasing 'connectivity' and business partnership between the two countries.
