Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli met with King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand on Wednesday.
During his official visit to Thailand and participating in the sixth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC), Prime Minister Oli, who is in Bangkok, had a courtesy meeting with King Vajira Lankan at Amphorn Royal Palace in Bangkok. The royal couple welcomed Prime Minister Oli and First Lady Radhika Shakya to the royal palace.
Earlier, Prime Minister Oli had a bilateral meeting with his counterpart Pe Thong Than Shinawatra at the government building and 8 memorandums of understanding were signed between the two countries. On the friendly invitation of Thai Prime Minister Shinawatra, Prime Minister Oli went to Bangkok on March 19.
Prime Minister Oli's visiting party includes First Lady Radhika Shakya, Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba, Prime Minister's Chief Adviser Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic/Development Adviser Yuvraj Khatiwada, Nepal Government Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, Foreign Ministry Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai and others.
