Eight different memorandums of understanding have been signed between Nepal and Thailand. During Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's official visit to Thailand, two memorandums of understanding were signed between the governmental parties of the two countries and six between the non-governmental parties.
Prime Minister Oli and Thailand's Prime Minister Pei Thong Than Shinawatra had a bilateral meeting before the signing ceremony. On that occasion, he expressed his views on political and bilateral relations, trade and economic cooperation, aviation, tourism and culture, development cooperation, and regional and multilateral issues.
In the presence of the Prime Ministers of both countries, two agreements have been signed by the government in the fields of culture and tourism, while six agreements have been signed between the non-government sectors.
Foreign Minister Dr. Arju Rana Deuba and Thailand's Culture Minister Sudwan Wangsufakizkosol have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the cultural sector on behalf of the Government of Nepal.
Similarly, Foreign Minister Dr. Deuba and Thailand's Tourism and Sports Minister Sorawang Tianthong have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the tourism sector. In the presence of the prime ministers of both countries, six different memorandums of understanding have been signed between the non-governmental sectors of Nepal and Thailand.
In this, a memorandum of understanding has been signed between Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh and Ramathivodi Hospital under Mahidol University in Thailand . The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Chetraj Pant, President of Nepal Ophthalmology Association and Prof. Artit Unkananth, Dean of Ramathibodi Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Mahidol University.
Similarly, an agreement has been signed between Janata Agro and Forestry Nepal (JAFL) and Kasetsart University Thailand. A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Confederation of Nepalese Industry and Commerce (FNCCI) and the Board of Trade of Thailand.
Kathmandu University and Siam University of Thailand have also signed a cooperation letter. An agreement has been reached between the Confederation of Nepal Industry and the Federation of Thai Industries on cooperation. Similarly, a memorandum of understanding has been signed between Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Thailand Tourism Council.
