The writ petition of Kulman Ghising, who was removed as the executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority, and the newly appointed Hitendradev Shakya, will be heard in the Supreme Court on Thursday.

The joint bench of Judges Kumar Chudal and Nityananda Pandey was scheduled to hear the writs of both of them today, but the hearing was scheduled for Thursday.

Kulman Ghising filed a writ petition demanding the annulment of the government's decision to remove him from the post of executive director of the authority.

The executive director of the authority, Hitendradev Shakya, had filed a writ petition four years ago stating that the appointment of Ghising was wrong after firing him.

After four years without a decision on the writ petition, he filed another writ petition stating that Kulman's petition cannot be heard. The court is hearing both the writ petitions together.
