Federal MP Deepak Bohra passed away. Party spokesperson Mohan Kumar Shrestha has informed that Bohra, who is also a RPP MP and former minister, died on Tuesday morning at Om Hospital during treatment. Bohra was 74 years old.
"Due to his death, RPP has lost its founding leader, Rupandehi, a development-loving popular representative and a promising nationalist personality. I am shocked by his death,' said the spokesperson Shrestha.
In June 2077, after being infected with the corona virus, Bohra's health was troubled. Shortly after the infection, he was diagnosed with post-Covid symptoms. Due to voice changes and problems, he was unable to speak even during the election campaign. Bohra had reached Delhi and New York for further treatment and was taking speech therapy. Lately, he was taking health benefits at home.
Bohra Rupandehi won from constituency number 3 . He defeated Congress leader Balkrishna Khan. Bohra was also supported by UML and Jaspa.
Bohora had been active in Nepal's politics for nearly 4 decades in RPP . Elected as National Panchayat Member from Rupandehi in 2036, he also won National Panchayat Member in 2042. He was elected as a member of the Constituent Assembly from Rupandehi Constituency No. 2 in the year 2070.
