Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that it is necessary to get out of the trend of being popular.

In the discussion with the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security regarding the preparation of the budget for the financial year 2082/083, Finance Minister Paudel said that realistic and implementable programs and plans are needed rather than distribution and popularity.

He mentioned that labor, skills, employment and production should be prioritized and said that distribution alone cannot give proper returns.

Saying that it is necessary to seriously review the programs related to social security, he emphasized that the programs of various ministries and agencies should be integrated.

Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Affairs Sharatsingh Bhandari expressed the opinion that it is necessary to manage remittances more and said that priority should be given to the skills of those returning from foreign employment and internal employment.

Prakash Kumar Shrestha, a member of the National Planning Commission, opined that it is necessary to review the Prime Minister's employment program and move forward. Finance Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyay said that priority should be given to skill development.
