The government has declared a public holiday on Monday. The Ministry of Home Affairs has informed on Sunday that it has been decided to give a public holiday on the occasion of Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr), the festival of the followers of Islam.
"According to the notice published in the Nepal Gazette dated 10/29/2080, regarding the decision to give a public holiday on the day of Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr), the festival of Muslims, this notice has been published for the information of all those concerned with the decision to give a public holiday on Monday, 18th Chait 2081," said Ramchandra Tiwari, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Ministry.
