Political parties have condemned the incidents of arson, vandalism and looting that took place during the demonstration by royalists in Tinkune area of Kathmandu on Friday. Parties including Congress, UML, Maoist and United Samajwadi Party have issued a statement demanding the government to take action against those involved in criminal activities.

The Congress has said that vandalism and arson of people's houses, media houses, party offices, shopping malls, government offices, public vehicles etc. have been taken seriously. Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma have requested the government through a statement to immediately bring legal action against those who incite violence and join violence.

Congress has said that it will always respect the right to protest and peaceful demonstration provided by the constitution. "But the violent incidents that have taken place today in the name of peaceful demonstrations in some places, including Three Corners of the capital, are highly condemnable," said the statement of the Chief Minister.

Noting that it is possible to resolve many of the dissatisfactions of the citizens within the current constitution, the Congress has stated that it is determined to continuously innovate by considering the sentiments of the citizens. "The alternative to democracy is a more advanced democracy. Monarchy of any nature cannot be an option for conscious Nepalis of the twenty-first century," the statement said. Expressing condolences to those who lost their lives due to violent protests, the Congress has asked the government to pay serious attention to the treatment of the injured.

The UML, led by the government, condemned the violent incident and asked the government to arrange a proper system of peace and security. UML strongly condemns the arrogance, anarchy and violence shown in Tinkune, Koteshwar and Jadibuti areas, UML General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel said in a statement, "Breaking the security cordon, attacking security personnel, disarming civilians, arson, looting, deliberate violence and incitement to terror in houses, commercial buildings, media houses, political party offices and government buildings in the name of peaceful demonstration." Such activities are reprehensible.

UML has resolved to stand firmly for the defense of the democratic republic and the constitution. He has called on all political parties, civil society and the general Nepali people to stand firm in favor of democracy and against the evil attempt of backwardness.

Maoist President Pushpa Kamal Dahal, United Samajwadi Party President Madhav Kumar Nepal, Nepal Samajwadi Party President Mahindra Rai Yadav and CPN General Secretary Netra Vikram Chand also issued a statement on behalf of the Samajwadi Front and condemned the activities of the royalists. "Resurrectionist and disorderly reactionary elements, who were aroused by the massive public support and participation of the Morcha, created chaos and ransacked and set fire to the headquarters of the United Socialist Party, Kathmandu district office, the private residence of President Madhav Kumar Nepal's brother Saroj Nepal," the Morcha said in a statement, "They ransacked and set fire to private and public properties and media houses including Kantipur and Annapurna Post. We demand strict action against those involved in this act. The front has demanded the government to protect the offices of political parties and the people's wealth.

RSVP has condemned activities like looting and arson on private and public properties by the former king's supporters as unforgivable. RSP has condemned the burning of the government vehicle used by its chief whip Santosh Pariyar by a group of royalists in Balkumari. event  RASPA demands that those who provoke

and cause damage to people's property should be punished to the extent.

The Acting Spokesperson of RSVP, Manish Jha, issued a statement and warned the agitating parties to present themselves responsibly and peacefully in the coming days. The analysis of RSWP is that the government and the home administration have not been able to coordinate the security arrangements despite the warnings that the movement of the royalists may be chaotic. It is the responsibility of the government to protect the property of the common people, to control the violent crowd by adopting moderation. The Home Minister should take full responsibility for the government's insensible incompetence in extreme circumstances,'' the statement said.

United Samajwadi General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal has held a press conference and demanded that the criminals be brought to justice. The police was informed about the incident that might happen around the party office today (Friday) at 11 am. After the attack on the party office, the police were immediately informed, but security arrangements were not made in time. This is the negligence of the security and administration," he said. "We strongly demand that all those involved in the vandalism and arson be dealt with as soon as possible.
