During the Rajawadi's demonstration in Tinkune, one person died after being shot by the police. Hospital director Prada Subas Acharya said that the protester, who was taken to the University Teaching Hospital in an injured state, died on the way to the hospital. According to him, the deceased has been sent to the forensic department for post-mortem in coordination with the police.

According to the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Chabbi Rizal, the deceased is 29-year-old Savin Maharjan of Kirtipur. In the protest at Tinkune, the police initially fired tear gas and later fired rubber bullets and aerial fire.

Demonstrators took the guns of the police and the scenes of brutal attacks were made public through social networks.

Demonstrators set fire to people's houses, shops, communication houses and government properties, while the office of Herbs Production and Processing Company Limited in Koteshwar was set on fire and vandalism and looting also took place in Bhatbhateni in Koteshwar.
