The Ministry of Home Affairs has stated that the movement of the royalist group is not expected to go to this extent. In a press conference held at the ministry on Friday evening, Joint Secretary Chabiraj Rizal said that since a political party was involved, it was not expected that Andojan would go to such an extent.

He said, 'It was assumed that the movement in which even a political party participated would not go to this extent.' Joint Secretary Rizal said that force was used according to certain standards by security personnel.

There was a clash between the royalists and the police while participating in the meeting scheduled to be held on Friday in Tinkune. One person has died due to police firing during the clash. The deceased has not been identified. Joint Secretary Rizal said that 15 policemen and a dozen protesters were injured in the clash.

The hospital director Prada Subas Acharya said that the person who was injured by a bullet in Tinkune died after being taken to the University Teaching Hospital. According to him, in coordination with the police, the deceased has been sent to the forensic department for post-mortem.

Demonstrators took away the police's gun and attacked the scene publicly through social networks. Demonstrators set fire to people's houses, shops, media houses and government properties, while the office of Herbs Production and Processing Company Limited in Koteshwar was set on fire and vandalism and looting also took place in Bhatbhateni in Koteshwar.

After stone-pelting on the police and vandalism and attack on private houses in Thinkune, Kathmandu, the Rajawadi meeting scheduled for Friday has been cancelled. Although it was said that Tinkune will turn into a meeting with rallies from different places, the crowd has already dispersed.

The Joint People's Movement Committee led by Navraj Subedi has entrusted the businessmen with the task of mass management in the Durga Prasai movement. The RPP led by Rajendra Lingden is also supporting the movement.
