The Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police has requested not to post such expressions on social networks and digital platforms that spread unrest and violent activities. On Friday, when the republican and monarchist demonstrations started, the bureau issued a notice on social media to be restrained.

The Bureau has said that it has taken serious notice of the activities such as posting expressions that spread unrest and violent activities, spreading misleading information on social media platforms.

It is mentioned in the notification that such activities can create a violent environment in the society and have a serious impact on the social harmony and security system of the nation. The Bureau has requested the general public not to engage in such activities and not to spread misleading information.

"Cyber Bureau requests not to encourage/not encourage such activities and also not to share topics related to such topics on social media as these types of expressions can create a violent environment in the society and have a serious impact on social harmony and the security system of the country," the notice said.

Likewise, the Bureau has warned that misuse of social media may lead to legal action. It has appealed to everyone to use social media responsibly to avoid legal trouble. Cyber Bureau requests all ordinary citizens to understand social responsibility and use social networks with respect as they may face legal problems.
