Three people from the Dalit community were recommended as joint secretaries at once

On Thursday, the government recommended three people from the Dalit community as joint secretaries.

 Safal Portel of Sabhapokhari-1 of Sankhuwasabha, Laxmikumar Vick of Chamunda Vindrasaini-2 of Dailekh and Deepak Vick of Chowrapati-5 Acham have been recommended for the post of First Class Joint Secretary or similar post under gazetted Nepal Administrative Service. Deepak was promoted to Deputy Secretary this year. 

Now the number of joint secretaries of the Dalit community has reached 9. Earlier, Mekh Bahadur Mangarati, Pradeep Pariyar, Lok Bahadur Sunar and Purna Bahadur Darzi and Kuber Nepali and Ashok Shripali have been joint secretaries on the technical side.

Sripali Bheri is working in Zonal Hospital Nepalgunj. He became joint secretary through open competition. 

"It is a historic achievement for us to have three joint secretaries from the Dalit community at the same time," former secretary Man Bahadur BK said, "this is a gift given by the republic and inclusiveness."
