After the National Assembly got into trouble, the government has chosen the way to proceed with the bill by allowing the land ordinance to automatically become inactive.

In the meeting of the ruling parties held in Baluwatar on Wednesday morning, Prime Minister KP Oli made the final effort to advance the ordinance. However, after the ruling Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal did not give up its stand, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that the bill would be introduced by allowing the ordinance to remain inactive.

There is a constitutional provision that the ordinance submitted to both the houses in the federal parliament must be passed within 60 days . According to the provisions of the constitution, the ordinances submitted to both houses of the Federal Parliament on January 18th should be passed by March 18th.

Among the 6 ordinances brought by the government, the ordinance related to land has not been approved, while the other five ordinances have been approved and passed by the House of Representatives. It will go to the President for verification only after it is passed by the National Assembly.

Opposition parties have blocked both houses of parliament since Wednesday without the ordinance being passed by the National Assembly. As the opposition parties blocked the parliament in protest against the removal of Kulman Ghising as the executive director of the Electricity Authority, the future of the ordinance is not certain.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the opposition has a plan to prevent the passage of the ordinance in an event organized by the Youth Union on Wednesday.

'You are trying to prevent the law from passing . An excuse against that is blocking the parliament. Everyone knows that if the bill to replace the ordinance is not passed by the 18th, it will not become a law, it will have to go again as another bill. To prevent that from happening, to prevent work, to prevent the bill from being passed, all these games are being played," he said at a program organized by Yuva Sangh Kathmandu, "We understand . They are doing all these things in order not to solve the problem of squatters, not to solve the problem of farmers.' Since there are only 26 MPs from the two parties, the government has to rely on 3 MPs from Jaspa, Nepal to approve the ordinance and pass the replacement bill from the National Assembly. Manish Suman, the leader of Jaspa Nepal, said that the government has come to the point of bringing the bill because of their rock stance on the land ordinance.

Prime Minister Oli held a meeting of the ruling party on Tuesday evening as well. After the leaders of Jaspa and Nepal did not go, the meeting ended with a discussion on a current issue. Suman said that they did not go to the meeting because they wanted to discuss the land ordinance.

After we made a clear stand this morning, the Prime Minister, you can rest assured, the land ordinance will be automatically deactivated after 60 days. Returning and inactive are the same . The government said that it will register the bill in this session and pass it after open discussion in the next session', Suman said, 'We have succeeded in the stand we have taken from the beginning.'

Because there is moral pressure on the government to withdraw the ordinance, the government has chosen the path of automatically inactivating the land ordinance by putting it on hold in the parliament . UML Chief Whip Mahesh Bertaula said that the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has been asked to move forward with the amendment bill as the Land Ordinance will automatically become inactive from the 18th.

There has been a discussion to move forward the bill to amend the issues raised by the parties within the ruling party in the bill. In my opinion, the government will bring this bill to the parliament soon," said Bertaula, "but how long it will take depends on the government's business."
