National Assembly adjourned for one hour

The meeting of the National Assembly has been postponed. When the opposition tried to start the proceedings of the National Assembly meeting on Thursday, Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal adjourned the meeting to an hour later.

After the opposition stood up and protested, President Narayan Prasad Dahal gave time to the United Samajwadi MP Dr Veduram Bhusal to speak. Bhusal took a stand that he would not allow the meeting to be conducted until Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli came to the meeting and gave an answer regarding the dismissal of Kulman Ghisingh by the government.

Speaker Dahal gave Nepali Congress MP Krishna Prasad Sitaula time to speak. MP Sitaula asked to resume the meeting as the bill introduced by the government has to be completed within 60 days. He accused the opposition of creating obstacles to cut the 60-day deadline.

Speaker Dahal announced the adjournment of the meeting for one hour after the opposition parliamentarians continued to disrupt the meeting after taking the seat several times.
