Nepali Congress General Minister Bishwa Prakash Sharma has said that it was wrong to disrupt the Parliament when removing the Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising.

Speaking to the media persons at the Parliament building premises on Thursday, he said that the opposition's demand that the Prime Minister should answer in the Parliament regarding the dismissal of Kulman Ghisingh by the government is wrong.

He also said that the dismissal of Ghising, who had only a few months left, sent a negative message. He expressed his apprehension that important ordinances would be stuck in the parliament when the opposition blocked the parliament due to the removal of Ghising. He said that the parliament was affected due to the obstruction of the opposition because the time limit for passing the ordinance by the parliament and verification by the president is very short.

He said, 'Especially the government should not have removed Kulman Ghising now for three reasons. The first reason was that he had only a few months left in his tenure. The message has been sent that the government did not tolerate it and did not wait for some time. The second government came up with some important things through some ordinances with some positive initiatives, which should be passed by the National Assembly and approved by the honorable President within 19 March. Now, after the obstruction of Kulman Ghising, while obstructing the Parliament, it has affected the passage of those ordinances by the Parliament and verification by the President. The third reason is that the government should have paid attention to give a positive message about how to take that dissatisfaction into confidence when there is dissatisfaction among the citizens due to many reasons. But the government's decision has added ghee to it.'

He says that the opposition's demand for the prime minister's answer to the matter that has gone to court will send a wrong message for the future.

He said, 'It is not appropriate to obstruct the Parliament on a matter that has gone to the honorable court. My comment on the opposition's statement that the Prime Minister should respond is that if you say that Kulmanji's removal was wrong, say that he should be reinstated, wish that he be reinstated by the court, but speak against the decision, it is in its place. But if the government sets the example that the prime minister should answer in the parliament regarding every decision, it will not set a positive example for tomorrow. Therefore, when the government is removing someone under him, it is one thing to face questions regarding his removal, but regarding the fact that the Prime Minister will answer, at least Prachanda, who has become the Prime Minister, should not have raised it.

General Minister Sharma said that they had advised the government not to remove Kulman Ghising from the post, but it was not implemented.
