The meeting of the ruling parties has decided not to proceed with the land ordinance. The ruling coalition meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence Baluwatar on Wednesday decided not to proceed with the controversial land ordinance.

The ruling JSP Nepal took the stand of not supporting the government in advancing the ordinance, due to which the government fell into a minority in the National Assembly.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has made it clear that the Land Ordinance will not be pushed forward after five other ordinance replacement bills were passed in the National Assembly. Rajkishore Yadav, the first vice president of Jaspa Nepal, who participated in the

meeting, said, 'The Prime Minister said that he would withdraw the Land Ordinance and he has promised not to advance the Ordinance in the parliamentary process. He said that according to the agreement with JSP Nepal, we will make a law related to land through a bill and not an ordinance. He said that on behalf of the

party, the old stand on the land ordinance has been repeated.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, JSP Nepal President Upendra Yadav and JSP President Ashok Rai, LOSPA President Mahant Thakur, Janmat President Sike Raut and NAUPA President Ranjita Shrestha and others participated in the meeting of the power alliance.

The government brought six ordinances only a few days before the start of the current session of the Parliament which was opposed by the ruling and opposition parties . The ruling JSP Nepal was adamant that it would not pass the Land Ordinance under any circumstances.
