Purna Bahadur Nepali, Ambassador of Nepal to Sri Lanka, has presented his certificate of appointment to the President Anurakumara Dissanayake.
The Nepali Embassy in Colombo has informed that the Nepali ambassador presented his certificate of status in a special ceremony held at the President's office on Monday.
On that occasion, Ambassador Nepali, on behalf of President Ramchandra Poudel, wished the Sri Lankan President personal happiness and good health as well as continued peace and progress of the people of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
While welcoming the Nepalese ambassador, President Dissanayake wished President Paudel personal happiness, good health, as well as peace and prosperity of the Nepali people. On that occasion, Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister, Secretary of the President's Office, the wife of the Ambassador, senior officials of the President's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present.
After presenting the certificate of status, the Nepalese ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Nepalese government for giving him the responsibility and said that he will work to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
