The death toll in a bus accident in Shitganga Municipality-2 Bhuvanpata has reached four. Lu 2 B 303 bus going from Arghakhanchi to Nawalparasi fell down the road.

According to the police, the deceased are 55-year-old Jamuna Basyal of Rupandehi Butwal sub-metropolitan city-8, Andaji 45-year-old Uma Neupane of Nawalparasi Paschim Bhumhi and 65-year-old Umaki Sasu (name not disclosed). 

Similarly, police inspector Bishnu Prasad Paudel said that the 50-year-old bus driver Madan Kumar Vick lives in West Bardghat. They have been declared dead by the primary health center Thada. 

28 passengers were injured in the accident. Among the seriously injured, 36-year-old Santosh Kandel, 4-year-old Amar Kandel, 31-year-old Ashish Adhikari, 27-year-old Lakshmi Adhikari, 4-year-old Anda Adhikari, 14-year-old Ayan Adhikari of Nawalparasi Bardghat Municipality-12 have been referred to Butwal, police said. The other injured are being treated at the primary health center in Thada.  

The police speculated that the accident occurred when the brakes failed while going back from Navarparasi after visiting Arghakhanchi.
