Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has questioned how the monarchy will be a new system. He said that monarchy is a patriarchy and criticized the RPP and others for saying that the 70-year-old leader is too old to make an 88-year-old leader.

Targeting the leaders of RPP, Oli said that they were going to establish a feudal system. He also said that the political parties did not develop the country and went in search of a feudal headship.

'They call themselves a new power, the parties didn't do it, they are 70 years old, they go to find an 88-year-old leader,' Oli said, 'the youngest, they say they will restore the feudal system, they pronounce it as new . New ? Monarchy is new ? To walk with such a poor system, it didn't happen, that didn't happen? Looking to get back to the Mukhiya Tantra ? A monarchy is a headship.'
