Preparations are being made to add aircraft to the lease for Nepal Airlines: Minister Pandey

Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey has informed that preparations are being made to add more aircraft to the lease to resume Nepal Airlines.

In Monday's meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives, Minister Pandey claimed that he is working carefully so that results can be obtained anytime in the field of civil aviation. He said that there is no alternative to adding ships to operate the aviation sector more effectively.

Minister Pandey says that the process of flying the ship on lease is in the final stage. He also said that the government is in the process of bringing an air policy to solve the problems seen in the field of aviation. He informed that necessary studies are being conducted to eliminate the disparity in tickets between foreign and domestic airlines.

'We are in intensive discussions regarding the normalization of Nepal Airlines in the field of civil aviation . We are ready to discuss the results at any time. Now there is no way without adding a plane . 10 widebody and 10 narrowbody  It will be easy to operate only if there is one,' Minister Pandey said, 'proposals for direct flights have come from all over. Any country is trying to climb the flag bearer. Nepali people have to look for it, if others go to the respective country and become the flag bearer of that country, they will surely allow it. He said that the process of signing a bilateral air service agreement with these two countries has been initiated.

Minister Pandey informed that the bill to divide the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority into two bodies, regulator and service provider, will be presented in the House of Representatives on March 14.  

Minister Pandey informed that an action plan has been approved and implemented by the Council of Ministers regarding regular flight operations at Gautam Budh International Airport and Pokhara International Airport.
