Bahadur Singh Lama Tamang, the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, has said that it is a sad situation to have to fight with the Union Government to get the rights clearly mentioned in the Constitution. He emphasized that all three levels of the government should be able to easily use the subjects included in the list of single and common rights provided in the constitution.

In the program 'Kantipur with the Chief Minister' conducted by Kantipur Television, Chief Minister Tamang said that questions were being raised about the provincial structure because he was not able to exercise his rights according to the constitution. He claims that the Bagmati state government has done a lot of development work. He also said that because 80 percent of the budget has to be relied on by the federal government, the work has not been done as expected. 

 Remembering that he had to walk for an hour and a half to reach school, Chief Minister Tamang claimed that there has been significant improvement in the education and health sectors. The structures of the school are well made. There is provision of school buses and mid-day meals in public schools," he said. "There has been a reduction in infant and maternal mortality. Now, ambulances can easily reach the villages where patients had to be carried yesterday.' He emphasized that the trend of seeking employment but leaving fields barren should be discouraged.  At the

event, Bagmati province's Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Prakash Shrestha informed that the provincial government has built 8 cold storage facilities with 70% investment and 30% investment by the local level or partner organizations to preserve the agricultural produce produced by the farmers. 

Physical Infrastructure Development Minister Aman Maske claimed that the work on the Humane-Fakhel-Bhanjang road connecting the federal capital Kathmandu and the provincial capital Hetounda is progressing rapidly. Mentioning that the construction of Matatirtha-Chakhel road is also going on, he claimed that both these roads will be operational from this financial year.

Health Minister Kiran Thapa informed that the One School One Nurse program has been conducted in 848 public schools. He also said that free tests for non-communicable diseases were conducted under the Chief Minister's Health Programme. Social Development Minister Hariprabha Khadgi said that an empowerment program has been implemented in the province to connect housewives with income generation. 

He said that programs like protection of senior citizens and orphans have been made effective. Minister of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Madukumar Shrestha informed that cooperatives misusing citizens' funds are being declared problematic and are being investigated.
