Members of the Federal Parliament, MPs of the State Assembly and various organizations have objected to the incident in which a dozer ransacked a Dalit family's house in the name of Maha Yagya in Aurhi Rural Municipality-5 of Siraha. They have also demanded the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee and action against the culprits.

While demanding action against the culprits, the organizers of the atrocities, the chairman of the rural municipality and the former ward president, reached the hut of the victim Deepak Malik Dome on Thursday, threatened and forcibly handed over a document in which it is mentioned that he had willingly demolished his house. The victim's family is in panic after they threatened not to say anything more and said it would not be right. Organizer Bajrangi Baba, rural village president Shivji Yadav and former ward president Dilip Yadav, who went to Deepak's hut on Thursday morning and forced the documents, are absconding.

Although the paper was forced to be signed on Thursday morning, the date has been set as February 11. But Deepak's house was demolished on February 10. The registration number has also been corrected. "1536" has been written over the registration number which was originally written as "1636". The stamp of the village council which should be applied while issuing the registration challan has not been affixed. Although the date was set a month ago, the paper was made only on Thursday, an employee of the village said. "Because they had to get the papers in a hurry, they missed the seal, they even had to do the repair," says the employee.

Dalit uprising in the name of Mahayagya: To install dozers in their own houses Consent papers were forced to sign Dalit Deepak Malik, who was displaced after his house was destroyed by bulldozers in Aurhi-5 of Siraha, was threatened by Bajrangi Baba, the organizer of the Mahayagna, village president Shivji Yadav and former ward president Dilip Yadav, on Thursday. The previous day, he drafted a letter to file a complaint with the Dalit Commission saying that he was subjected to atrocities (right).

Deepak's family was taken to the government building next to the Maha Yagya site after being threatened and forced to submit documents. Village chairman Yadav, Bajrangi Baba and former ward president Yadav also made them speak in a video saying that they had moved from there willingly.

Deepak's house, which is near the mandap built for Mahayagna, was built 5 years ago under the Prime Minister's Housing Program. On the instructions of Bajrangi Baba, Village Chairman Yadav not only ran a dozer on Deepak's house, but even the soil of the place where the house is located was made to be 'untouchable'. The Dalit family has been made to live in a secluded hut near the river 500 meters away.

The local leaders and the police, who have been silent despite the fact that illegal acts and injustice are taking place under the leadership of the chairman of the rural municipality, have increased their activity on Thursday after the news of the incident.

After the incident of untouchability and discrimination under the leadership of the village head became public, Siraha Chief District Officer Vasudev Dahal and Siraha Police Chief SP Ramesh Pandit also reached to get more information about it. As soon as the chief district officer and the chief of district police were informed, the so-called Baba and the pre-ward president along with the chairman of the rural municipality were out of touch. The district police chief himself reached the spot but said that he had no contact with the accused. "We went to the scene and understood, we are investigating further," says SP Pandit, "so far no complaint has been received." The family of the

victim said that speaking about the matter would cause more problems and asked them not to ask anything now. "Don't ask us more about this matter," Deepak's wife Anita Malik said, "This is the third place where we have been driven away, the society continues to drive us away as untouchables, no one considers us human, if we talk too much, there will be more problems." Udityanarayan Karn, the chief administrative officer of the village, said that he was not aware of the matter as it was not related to him.

Demand for action in the state assembly too

Similarly, MPs of the Madhesh state assembly have also demanded strict action against the people's representatives involved in the incident. Speaking at the meeting of the Provincial Assembly on Thursday, they have condemned the incident as reprehensible.

Speaking at zero time, Member of Parliament Neelam Kumari Rajak demanded strict action against those who demolish the houses of Dalits and encroach on them under any name. "Injustice has been done to the Dalit family in the name of Yagya," said Rajak, "I demand action according to the law to the perpetrators." In

, MP Lakhan Das Tatma accused the provincial government of keeping silent despite repeated atrocities against Dalits. "It is an inhuman act to evict Dalit families who have been living there for 30 years," said MP Tatma, "All those who defame the untouchables should be punished." Jaspa MP Lalita Das objected to the desolation of Dalit houses in Sirham before Rinku Sada's incident could be resolved.

National Human Rights Commission Madhesh Province Office has also shown interest in the incident of atrocities on Dalit families in Aurhi. Budhnarayan Sahni, the provincial head of the Commission, said that monitoring and investigation have been started. "A team has already reached the spot to monitor and investigate the incident," he said. "As soon as we read the news about the incident, we have asked the Sira police chief and the chief district officer to investigate the truth," Dalit Commission member Sundar Purkuti said, "we are planning to take legal action against those found guilty in the investigation."
