Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the local government created after the establishment of the Federal Democratic Republic has really brought the lion court to the villages.
Addressing the 32nd anniversary of the Nepal Municipality Association today, Prime Minister Oli made it clear that there is no alternative to the long struggle and sacrifice of the Nepali people, as a strong local government has been formed with the end of the country's monarchy.
'During the implementation of the constitution, there have been some debates about the structure of the province, but no question has been raised about the local government. Therefore, the local government has no choice. This is the closest government to serving the people,' he said, 'problems and demands at the local level will be solved gradually by making appropriate policies and laws. There will be necessary cooperation and coordination between the three levels of government.'
Prime Minister Oli aimed at the activities being carried out in the name of returning the monarchy and emphasized that the people should do everything to strengthen the republic as the people have not forgotten the autocracy imposed during the monarchy.
