Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiha held a bilateral meeting in New Delhi.

The meeting took place between them in New Delhi on Tuesday while participating in the 'Raisina Dialogue' program organized by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. During the meeting, Nepal-Ukraine relations and various issues of mutual interest were discussed, according to the Secretariat of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. On that occasion, Foreign Minister Dr. Rana clarified that Nepal does not have a policy of allowing Nepali citizens to join the Russian army and requested the release of seven Nepali prisoners of war in Ukraine as soon as possible. 

He requested the government of Ukraine through the Ukrainian Foreign Minister for the release of seven Nepalis who were currently under the control of the Ukrainian army while they were working in the Russian army from the remote areas of Nepal under the trap of human traffickers. On that occasion, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sibiha promised that they would be released after completing the legal process. During the meeting, Minister Rana said that Nepal has planned for 2027 to 2029. Mentioning the context of his candidacy as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council, he also asked for the support of the Ukrainian government.  On the occasion of
