Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Balram Adhikari has promised to solve the problem of "Swargadwari Guthi Peedit Kisan" even though the 'Guthi Sansthan Act, 2033' has to be amended.
In today's meeting of the "Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee" of the House of Representatives, the minister answered the questions raised by the MPs. He said that a 'draft' has been prepared for the amendment of the law.
'Swargadwari brought an ordinance related to land to solve the problems related to land including Guthi, but there was no environment to submit it to the Parliament, now we are in favor of solving the problem of Guthi victims by amending the points of the Guthi Act,' said the minister.
Guthi Bill should be brought as soon as possible and the farmers should get the ownership of the land occupied by the farmers, Guthi land should be 'racked' and the farmers should be provided with land ownership certificate, the remaining land should be maintained and the raker should be provided in the name of Jotaha. .
The minister pointed out the need to enact a law to solve the overall problems related to land, including barren land, disorderly settlements, landless squatters, encroached and demarcated land. He said that the law is being drafted to amend the Land Reform Act 2021 and bring a new law.
Member of Parliament Bhanubhakta Joshi said that the land problem resolution commission could not work rapidly because the government changes rapidly. He said that a concrete solution should be found for the families who are encroaching on the banks of the river. MP Surya Prasad Dhakal emphasized that the government should work to solve the land related problem forever.
