The epicenter of the earthquake was Batulasain of Acham district. According to the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center Lanchaur, an earthquake of 4.3 magnitude occurred at 6:33 am on Tuesday morning with its epicenter near Batulasain in Achham.

Earlier, on February 24, an earthquake of magnitude 4.1 occurred with its epicenter near Khungkhani in Baglung district.

Earthquakes continue to occur in Nepal recently. Because Nepal is in the Himalayan region, it is considered as an earthquake risk region.
