United Samajwadi MP Prakash Jwala has said that it is wrong to make a legal provision prohibiting more than 6 exams in public service.
Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, MP Jwala said that it is against the spirit of the constitution to syndicate so that no citizen can take the exam.
The Parliament is going to make a law so that the Public Service Commission exam can be given only up to 6 times. In the 'Bill to regulate the formation, operation and conditions of service of the Federal Civil Service', which is being discussed in the State Order and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives, a limit is set on how many times a person can take the civil service examination.
Member of Parliament Jwala said that the government will not even give employment options, even stopping them from competing in the examination will deprive them of their fundamental rights. He demanded that he should be allowed to take the exam until he is old enough to join the public service. He said that it is important to debate the issue of how many times the president, prime minister and minister can be, not the public service exam.
He said, "If the legal system is being made to prohibit more than 6 exams in public service, then that is wrong." It is against the spirit of the constitution to syndicate a citizen so that he cannot take the exam. Depriving them of the exam in this way is to push Nepali youth further towards the Gulf and Malaysia. The act of the government not even giving employment options, even preventing them from competing in the examination, is depriving them of their fundamental rights. That is why you should be allowed to take the exam until you are old enough to join the public service. Let's debate about how many times political appointments are allowed, how many times we are allowed to contest elections and how many times we are allowed to be president, prime minister and ministers.
He also said that we should debate about political appointments and how many times elections are contested.
