Maoist Deputy General Secretary Janardan Sharma has said that a social and cultural campaign should be conducted to establish good governance in the country.

He said this while participating in the discussion on the Bill-2081 to amend some Nepal Acts related to promotion of good governance and delivery of public services. He said that for good governance, the leadership should win the trust of the people. He said that the properties of political leaders involved in corruption should be investigated and nationalized. He said that the work done by the constitutional commissions should be transparent.

He said, 'Our practice today is not good governance, it has gone more towards bad governance. Therefore, for good governance, we must first earn the trust of the people. The work done by our constitutional commissions should be transparent for the people and accepted by the people. Now the issue of corruption is mainly raised and it is focused on the political leadership. For that reason, if it is possible to investigate the property of the political leadership, then by nationalizing it  If you can make it clear to the people, it can only be done if you decide to run the state with a sense of sacrifice.' He said that the double meaning in the law should be amended.
