MP Suwal's demand to freeze the assets of cooperatives and officials to return the victims' savings

Prem Suwal, Member of Parliament of Nepal Labor Kisan Party, has drawn the government's attention to the public issue that billions of money from Nepal's cooperatives went to the benefit of NATO countries.

He said this while speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday. He claimed that the funds of the cooperatives were used for the benefit of the military organization of the imperialists through the districts, states and federations.

He questioned the government about how to return the savings of the victims who had deposited money in the 17,000 cooperative societies that the government is about to cancel. He demanded that the assets of cooperative banks and cooperative society officers who embezzle common people's savings should be frozen and the people's savings should be returned.

MP Suwal said that it is more important to see the interests of the country than to become the president or the prime minister. He said that since the government cannot work only with the taxes collected from the people, industry and business should be needed to serve the country and the people.
