The government has given Holi holidays on different days in Terai and Hills. This year, on the occasion of Holi, the government has given a public holiday to the hills on Thursday. President, Vice-President, Prime Minister and other high-ranking people of the country have extended their greetings on the occasion of Fagupurnima on Thursday, calling to celebrate Holi with joy and rejoicing in colors.
On the occasion of Holi, President Ramchandra Paudel has expressed his belief that the common festival of Nepalese, Phagupurnima (Holi), will contribute to strengthening social harmony and national unity. He wished to provide inspiration to protect and promote the original culture by eradicating various types of deformities, disharmony and corruption existing in the society.
Likewise, Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has expressed his belief that the Phagupurnima (Holi) festival, which carries social, cultural and national significance, will help enrich the cultural splendor and heritage. He also said that this festival will play an important role in maintaining unity and peace in the country and society.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has also sent greetings to celebrate Holi with joy and enthusiasm.
Aiming at this festival, the administration across the country has requested to play Holi peacefully and decently.
