Due to low visibility, flights have been affected for a week

An Air Arabia plane had a 'miss approach overshot' when it was about to land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu today at 1:55 PM. Approaching the Kathmandu airport, the plane suddenly overshoots over Narephant when it was about to land.

Airport spokesperson Rinji Sherpa said that the plane missed the approach due to wind shear.

Air Arabia's plane had a missed approach when it took the final approach to Kathmandu airport, he said, 'Wind shear is called wind shear when the air from two sides mixes. Due to which the ship shook and missed the approach.'

Similarly, the Air India plane that came to Kathmandu from New Delhi landed in Kathmandu today after it got stuck in the sky above Simra and landed in Kathmandu. Along with this, the Thai Line Air ship from Bangkok was also on hold for some time .

Earlier on Wednesday, the Nepal Airlines flight from Narita, Japan landed after being held for some time. Qatar Airways from Doha, Qatar and Air India from New Delhi, Batik Air from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Fly Dubai from Dubai were also held.

Not only that, Fly Dubai from Bhairahawa, Buddha Air from Dhangadhi, Yeti Airlines aircraft from Pokhara were on hold due to low visibility .

Due to adverse weather, the country's  Flights are normally affected. Tribhuvan International Airport informed that there is no required visibility due to adverse weather conditions and domestic and international flights are being affected.

According to Sherpa, the spokesperson of the airport, international air flights are being affected more due to bad weather. Spokesperson Sherpa informed that because the pre-monsoon activity is active in Nepal now and the weather system that brings rain is developing, when the weather is unfavorable, international flights are held and miss approach due to low visibility and wind speed.

International flights have to land only from "Zero Two" on the west side of the runway of Kathmandu Airport. The airport office has said that there is not much problem as domestic flights can land from both sides due to the long runway.

On Wednesday night, it has been a mild to moderate year in various parts of the country, including Kathmandu Valley. It rained especially in different places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces . Even today, it will remain partly cloudy in the hilly parts of the province and light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in the afternoon has been forecasted by the Weather Forecast Division of the Department of Water and Meteorology.
