The Supreme Court has decided to dismiss the contempt of court case filed against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The joint bench of judges Hariprasad Phuyal and Nityanand Pandey decided on Wednesday not to accept the demand in the case. Senior Advocate Kumar Sharma Acharya and Advocate Kanchankrishna Neupane filed a contempt petition on 13th March 2077, mentioning that they had commented on the issue of dissolution of the House of Representatives, which was pending in the Constitutional Bench, and had made statements targeting Senior Advocate Krishna Prasad Bhandari.

Earlier, a single bench of Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma had ordered to appear in person and submit a written reply. According to the order, on February 6, 2077, Prime Minister Oli himself attended and submitted a written answer.
