Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar has said that all stakeholders should work together for disaster risk reduction and management.
In the transfer program of the provincial emergency warehouse located in Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-13 of Kailali, the Home Minister said that there is a government plan to develop the emergency warehouse in Kathmandu as a central emergency warehouse. He said that the necessary disaster materials will be provided to the emergency warehouses in the province by purchasing the materials received from foreign aid and by the government. He said that the responsibility of maintaining the emergency warehouses handed over by the government to the state is now the responsibility of the state government.
Home Minister Akbar instructed the subordinate agencies to work in coordination with the provincial government during the disaster.
In that sequence, Home Minister Akbar handed over the provincial emergency warehouse to Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah.
