Former Prime Minister and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has accused the current government of crossing the threshold of democracy. Addressing the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Speaker Dahal made this accusation.
He insists that the current government of two-thirds is fatal for the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. President Dahal alleges that the current government and the ruling parties are misusing their power based on their arrogance. He said that because the government did not give importance to the opposition and the people, the situation was created that the people came down on the streets.
He said, 'The question has been born in the minds of the people that this two-thirds will be fatal for the democracy of Nepal, for the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. I can only request you to think seriously about it now. The arrogance of this number is dying. Abuse of power started from that arrogance. Because the government has not paid any attention to the opposition and the people's constructive protests, the situation has come that people are coming to the streets today. And you may have thought that we have two thirds who can do what? First of all, you have crossed the threshold of democracy. I seriously say that this government was born against democracy, against the constitution. The fact that the first and second parties are compatible is against the essence of democracy.
He commented that the birth of the current government was due to anti-democracy and anti-constitutional measures.
