Labor, Employment and Social Security Minister Sharatsingh Bhandari has said that the National Employment Promotion Program announced on Monday will be effectively implemented.

 

On the occasion of the Fifth National Labor and Employment Conference, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli launched the National Employment Promotion Program for the promotion of productive employment.

'This is a journey to create decent jobs in the internal labor market,' Labor Minister Bhandari said in a speech at the conference, 'The disappointment in the country is linked to employment . We are sending them to foreign employment under compulsory conditions. In the next 10 years, increasing entrepreneurship, the government will evaluate the labor force in a fair manner.

He promised to create more jobs through the promotion and expansion of the private sector in the internal employment promotion decade (2082/083 to 2091/092). For this, entrepreneurship and job creation will be encouraged, and an effective economic and monetary environment will be created for small and medium enterprises, he said. Minister Bhandari said that expansion of business promotion services, use and promotion of indigenous goods and services, promotion of self-employment and entrepreneurship development, startup schemes will be encouraged.

Financial facilitation, establishment of public private partnership at the local level, technical and vocational education/training in collaboration with the private sector according to the demand of the labor market, construction and use of an integrated labor market management system, he said.

Labor Minister Bhandari said that the social security of workers working in the private sector will be ensured. "Despite the low salary in Nepal, we are considering only government jobs as employment. Because  Government jobs have ensured pensions, he said, "Alternatively, the social security fund has been established so that workers working in the private sector can also get pensions." It is bringing all the informal sector towards the formal sector.'
