Maoist President Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the reactionary forces are excited by the government's anti-people activities. In a virtual address to the second general meeting of Nepali People's Progressive Forum Japan, Chairman Dahal said that Maoists will struggle against reactionary and anarchic elements.
Referring to the activities of royalists in Kathmandu, President Dahal also said that the campaign was stopped for a few days. It is the responsibility of the Maoist Center to stop the anti-people activities of the government. As the people are enthusiastically participating in the campaign now, we have decided to postpone the campaign for a few days and focus on the work of the Parliament and Swabiyu elections,' said Dahal.
He also said that due to the political activities in Kathmandu, the plan is to continue the campaign only after a few days. He said that a meeting of the party secretariat will be held on Monday morning and other important matters including the campaign will be discussed.
President Dahal also says that the Maoist Terai-Madhesh Jagran campaign focused on the Hulaki highway has strengthened the people's faith in the Maoists. 'We are moving forward by staying in people's homes, living, eating and discussing with them and strengthening the relationship between the party and the people. This has increased the positive feeling towards Maoists among the people. People have started to feel that 'the real party is the Maoist', he said.
