The ruling party Congress-UML and the opposition Maoists have warned that they will retaliate if the former king Gyanendra Shah engages in anarchic activities. Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who reached Rautahat during the Terai-Madhesh Awakening campaign, suggested to former king Shah to open a party if he wanted to do politics. Maoist's Terai-Madhesh Campaign Postponed

Maoists have postponed the one-month Terai-Madhesh Awakening Campaign centered on the Hulaki Highway, saying that they will hold a program centered on Kathmandu due to the activities of the royalists. The awakening campaign which started on February 12 from Kachanakbal in Jhapa was postponed after reaching Rautahat on Saturday. In Rautahat, Maoist Chairman Dahal said that the royalists will not tolerate any chaotic activities.
