National Assembly meeting: Attention to build bridge on 'fast track'

At the zero hour of today's meeting of the National Assembly, the MP drew the attention of the government to build a bridge on the 'fast track'.

In the meeting, MP Ghanshyam Rizal asked the government to pay attention to the fact that passengers have to travel dangerously due to lack of timely construction of bridges on the Sunkoshi and Tamakoshi rivers on the Long-Sanghu Jiri road, which is the lifeline connecting Dolakha with the federal capital and Madhesh province. 

He said that after the bridge built four decades ago became narrow and dilapidated, a contract was signed to build a new bridge in 2073, but the construction was not completed. He said, 'Even after eight years, the construction of the pool has not started in Tamakoshi but in Sunkoshi. There is also a risk of accidents due to delay in bridge construction. I draw the attention of the government to proceed with the construction of the bridge on the fast track.'

Member of Parliament Bishnu Bahadur Bishwakarma said that the government should take initiative to complete the construction of the only bridge connecting Mahavai Rural Municipality of Kalikot district as soon as possible. He said, 'It was said that the bridge will be built after signing the contract in 2077/78. The deadline has been extended several times but the work has been delayed. I would draw attention to blacklisting the contract company and speed up the construction of the bridge.'

Member of Parliament Pooja Chaudhary said that after the rape of Rinku Sada, a resident of Tol Bhagwatipur, Siraha, Navrajpur Rural Municipality, Madhes Pradesh, the mysterious murder was painful, and demanded that the killer be prosecuted and compensation be given to the victim.

MP Rukmini Koirala said that since population and development are linked together, we should pay attention to how the population of the country should be made in the future.

Member of Parliament Krishna Bahadur Rokaya said that flights should be put into operation at the two airports operating in Rukum West as soon as possible. He said, 'Salle Airport and Chaurjahari Airport in Sadarmukam  Flights are suspended in both. The airport at Sadarmukam is not in operation since 2nd December 2081. Flights should be operated at both airports as soon as possible.'

MP Padam Bahadur Pariyar said that through national and international organizations, artificial limbs, education for disabled children, aid to HIV-infected, tuberculosis patients and pregnant women have been affected in Nepal. He demanded that the government should study the impact in this regard and make a plan.

MP Renu Chand accused Nepal Electricity Authority Executive Director Kulman Ghising that the government is trying to fire him by giving him a zero number. 

Member of Parliament Krishna Prasad Adhikari also said that it was wrong to repeatedly ask Nepal Electricity Authority Executive Director Kulman Ghising for an explanation.

Member of Parliament Vishnukumari Sapkota said that diversion will be built in Gandaki area and Sadhu Sant who was living in Devghat area  She drew the government's attention to the effect of this action. MP Vishnudevi Pudasaini drew the attention of the government to pass the education bill quickly.
