Thursday's meeting of the National Assembly approved five ordinances. The Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts on Promotion of Good Governance and Public Service Delivery, 2081, Economic Procedures and Financial Responsibility (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081, Privatization (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081, Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts on Improvement of Economic and Business Environment and Investment Promotion, 2081 and Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts on Cooperatives, passed by the House of Representatives on Wednesday It was approved by the majority of the assembly.
On Economic Procedure and Financial Responsibility (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081, Privatization (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081, MPs Dr. Veduram Bhushal, Maya Prasad Sharma, Nar Bahadur Bista and Suresh Kumar Ale Magar submitted a motion to reject the ordinance. The proposal was rejected by the majority.
Similarly, MPs Madan Kumari Shah 'Garima' and Jhakkuprasad Subedi submitted a motion to reject the Privatization (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081 in today's meeting. The proposal was also rejected by the majority.
Gangakumari Belwase, Bishnu Bahadur Bishwakarma, Manrupa Sharma and Ghanshyam Rizal proposed to reject the Ordinance, 2081 to amend some Nepal Acts related to improvement of economic and business environment and promotion of investment. The proposal has also been rejected.
Similarly, MP Jagprasad Sharma And Rajendra Lakshmi Gayre proposed that the Ordinance, 2081 amending certain Nepal Acts relating to cooperatives be rejected. The proposal was also rejected by the majority.
The next meeting of the National Assembly will be held on Friday 23rd of February at 1:15 pm.
