The Federation of Nepalese Journalists has drawn attention to the fact that the Federal Parliament Secretariat has suspended the parliament entry passes of journalists Kishore Shrestha and Prakash Oli based on asking questions.

The Federal Parliament Secretariat suspended their passes on the grounds that it was a violation of parliamentary dignity and discipline when they questioned the Prime Minister while leaving after the House of Representatives meeting on February 4.

The press council of Nepal has the jurisdiction to measure whether the journalist's code of conduct is against the question asked by the journalist.

The Federation has requested the Federal Parliament to respect the freedom of the press by taking into account the jurisdiction of the Council and withdrawing the suspension of the journalist's pass. The federation has drawn the attention of the journalists and the media to take care of the code of ethics of journalists while performing professional duties.  According to the

secretariat, journalist Shrestha and Oli used unlimited words like 'tyrant' and 'Hitler' while asking questions to Prime Minister Oli. According to the decision of the General Secretary of the Parliament, their entry passes have been suspended for one month. Prakash Oli Sunaulo Nepal and Kishore Shrestha Yuva Mana are journalists working in Nepal.
