Maoist MP Rekha Sharma has drawn the attention of the government through the speaker to address the demand of Guthi farmers. During today's emergency session of the House of Representatives, she talked with Guthi Kisan and requested the government to bring the Guthi Bill as soon as possible.
"The demands of Mohi farmers, who have been struggling for the past 32 days, have not been heard," said MP Sharma, "I request the government to take the matter raised by the farmers from the street and brought to the attention of the parliamentarians seriously and resolve the problem immediately."
Saying that the Swargadwari Guthi victim Mohi Kisan has been staging a sit-in at Maitighar Mandla since January 20th, she demanded that the Guthi land be raked and the farmers be released to the landowners.
