Tribhuvan University (TRI) has started the process of Independent Students' Union (SVA) elections to be held on 5th Chait.
Pashupati Adhikari, director of the directorate of student welfare and sports, informed that various student organizations have registered the names of their associations and organizations in the affiliated campuses of TriVika till Monday evening. "Student organizations have registered the names of their organizations for the elections," he said.
According to the election schedule, the voter list will be published tomorrow on February 21 and the nomination of direct and proportional candidates will be registered on February 27 from 11 am to 2 pm. Trivi has scheduled the polling for next Chait 5th from 8 am to 4 pm.
Samik Badal, the president of ANERASWVIU, informed that his organization has been nominated in all campuses for the election. Similarly, Suraj Sejuwal, the spokesperson of the Nepal Students Union, also said that the name of the organization has been registered in all campuses.
Roshan Magar, General Secretary of Aneraswaviyu (Revolutionary), informed that the organization has been registered in campuses where elections will be held across the country. Prior to this, the University has already issued a code of conduct on the 'Guidelines for Self-Employment Elections'. On the 5th of Chait, on the same day, 62 affiliated and 1,040 affiliated campuses of the University will be held in the Swaviyu elections. 28 years age limit and mixed election system has been arranged in the election.
