Nepali Congress and Democratic Lawyers Association (DLA) has surrounded the election committee office of Nepal Bar Association after receiving a complaint about the list of the central working committee election to be held on 23rd Chaitra of Nepal Bar Association.

After the High Court Bar Association complained that the names of 711 voters of the Kathmandu Court Bar should be removed, the DLA surrounded the election committee office of the Nepal Bar on Tuesday.

The initial list of 11 thousand 772 people was published for the election. In the said list, the time of claim-opposition was fixed till Monday.

After a complaint was made by the High Court that the Kathmandu District Bar did not renew the Bar Council, the Kathmandu District Bar also filed a complaint demanding to investigate all of them as a matter of policy.

President of Democratic Lawyers Association Sushil Raj Paudel said that the election committee is unilaterally going to investigate only the Kathmandu bar and protested against the fact that all those who updated the bar council should face each other .

He also accused the Election Committee of unilaterally preparing to remove the list of voters, which had been approved by the Central Committee of the Nepal Bar and given to the Election Committee, only in the case of the Kathmandu District Bar. The agitating party demands that he should maintain the voter list according to Article 25 of the Nepal Bar Act.

Chairman Paudel said, 'After the Central Working Committee approved the voter list of the Nepal Bar published on February 15th and after the voter list was given to the Election Committee, some friends complained about the voter list. Therefore, there is a need to investigate the voter list and publish the voter list. DLA is also demanding that the decision made unilaterally by the election committee should be annulled.
