The 111th birth anniversary of Yogi Naraharinath, who was born in Lalu, Kalikot, is being celebrated. On the occasion of Yogi Narharinath's birth anniversary, a cultural and sports festival has been organized at Rahgad in Kalikot from Saturday.

Ashoknath Yogi, a member of the Karnali Province Planning Commission, said that on the occasion of the birth anniversary, a book release and a seminar were also organized in Surkhet, the capital of Karnali Province, and Kathmandu.

Pradeep Bohoro, ward president of Narhirnath-9, said that local art, culture, costumes and Deuda games were organized in the festival which will be held in Kalikot for four days. For 7 years, Yogi Narhirnath's birthday has been held in conjunction with the rural municipality.

Hikmat Bahadur Bista, Member of Karnali State Assembly and Congress Parliamentary Party Whip, demanded Yogi Narharinath to declare the national heritage and increase the budget for Laifu road project through Khulalu, Kotwada Sanni Raskot as a project of state pride. 

Balbir Singh Thapa, who was born on February 17, 1971 in Chakha Bhadariwada, Lalu, Calikot, was called Yogi Narharinath through yoga and sadhana. He died on February 14, 2051 at Mrigastali in Kathmandu.

500  Yogi, who has written 73 books, currently has only 359 works published. He can speak 27 languages ​​and deliver sermons, said Karnali Province member Bishta, who is also the president of Yogi Narharinath Study Institute, Kalikot.
