Foreign Affairs Minister Arju Rana Deuba and Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar have met the parents of Prakriti Lamsal, a student of Siddharth Nagar-8 in Ruppandehi, who died while studying at KIIT University in Odisha, India.
After the death of her daughter, Foreign Minister Rana said that she met the grieving parents and relatives of Prakriti Mamaghar on Monday afternoon and expressed her condolences.
"I have continued diplomatic initiatives from the beginning to find out the truth about Prakriti's death and take strict action against the culprits according to law," Rana said, referring to the photo details of the meeting on her Facebook page, "Even today, I informed the family that Prakriti's death will be brought to justice." "I have requested Chief Minister Majhi to carry out an impartial investigation into Prakriti's death and take action against the culprits," she said.
Chief Minister Majhi has informed that this incident has been taken seriously by the Odisha state government and a high-level inquiry committee has been formed to bring justice to the nature and punish the guilty. Both the ministers who came to participate met with the victim's family. Former Lumbini Province Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary and State Police Chief Dan Bahadur Karki also participated in the meeting.
