Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel has said that now it cannot be said that there is no health insurance medicine in the hospital. Monitoring the Ilam Hospital today, he said that the drugs prescribed by the Health Insurance Board should be mandatory in the hospital.
He said, 'Even now it is illegal to say that there is no medicine. Medicines determined by the Health Insurance Board must be available in government hospitals.
He said that prescribed medicines must be kept. The government and health insurance board have prescribed 98 types of medicines. He also requested to keep prescribed medicines mandatory.
Minister Paudel says that government hospitals are no longer exempted from medical prescriptions. He says that the Ministry of Health has taken the necessary work forward for that. Although there are problems in some management of insurance, he says that they are going to improve it.
He also said that the work of the Ministry of Health will be carried forward to upgrade the district hospital. Dr. Prabhu Shah, the head of Ilam Hospital, complained that there are no doctors according to the vacancy. In this regard, Health Minister Paudel said that he prefers doctors to stay in Sugam. He also said that it will be compulsory to go to the same place where the government has assigned
. He said that even now there are twice as many doctors as the number of doctors in Terai hospitals.
Hospitals and health posts should also request the ministry to do only what they can do. He said that the district hospital should also demand about infrastructure and tools. According to him, if there is a demand, it can be addressed. He said that requests for MRI and CT scan at the health post cannot be addressed at present.
